Meet the giveaway winner!

Since the giveaway was geared to celebrate the After His Heart series, and the series is meant to celebrate sisterhood and common ground, I thought the best way to announce the giveaway winner would be to spotlight her in a little "get to know you" meet-and-greet. 

So, friends, meet Holly Morrison! Imagine we're all sipping coffee and introducing ourselves and Holly just came and sat down at your table. :)

Hi, my name is Holly! I'm married to my college sweetheart, Matt, and we have a loving little 14 month old son, Caleb. I am a part-time graphic designer and full-time mommy. As hobbies, I enjoy photography and blogging over at The Morrison's Blog.

The word I chose for my bracelet is "trust."

The scripture I cling to these days is Exoxus 15:2: The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.  He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

I've hung onto every word of this verse since the day we were given scary news from an ultrasound on our sun at 18 weeks.  Fortunately, it ended up being happy news but we were knocked right back down when we learned our son would need to have surgery when he was only 8 weeks old for a small birth defect in his tummy.  Then later, when he was four months old, we needed this reminder more than ever when we found out he has a rare eye condition that surgery cannot fix.

I chose "trust" so I can look down at this bracelet as a quiet reminder to trust in the Lord for my strength.  I know he will strengthen me through all these hard hurdles in life.
